Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GenBodha ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

GenBodha is an online learning platform that provides courses, interactive labs, quizzes, and educational content focused on Generative AI and software engineering. The Platform includes browser-based coding environments (VSCode labs) for hands-on exercises.

3. Account Registration

  • You must sign in using Google OAuth to access the Platform.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must provide accurate information during registration.
  • You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure.
  • Use lab environments to mine cryptocurrency, run denial-of-service attacks, or host malicious software.
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute course content without permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers.
  • Circumvent content protection measures or access controls.
  • Share course materials, quiz answers, or lab solutions publicly.

5. Lab Environment Usage

  • Lab environments (VSCode instances) are provided for educational purposes only.
  • Labs have resource limits (CPU, memory, storage) and session time limits.
  • Idle labs may be automatically cleaned up after a period of inactivity.
  • Code and files in lab environments may not be persisted between sessions. Save your work externally.
  • We reserve the right to terminate lab sessions that violate acceptable use policies.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Our content: All course materials, reading content, quizzes, lab exercises, and podcasts are owned by GenBodha and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
  • Your code: Code you write in lab environments remains your intellectual property. By submitting code through the Platform, you grant us a limited license to process it for grading and platform operation purposes.

7. Individual Subscription Plans

GenBodha offers individual subscription plans for access to GenAI engineering disciplines. Two plan types are available:

  • Single Discipline — access to all courses, labs, and projects within one chosen discipline.
  • 4-Discipline Bundle — access across four disciplines of your choice.

Each plan is available in three billing durations:

  • Monthly: Recurring subscription, billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • 3-month and 6-month: One-time upfront payments. Access is granted for the stated window and does not auto-renew. To continue learning after the window ends, you may purchase again.

7.1 Pricing and currency

All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of any applicable taxes. Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your billing address. Customers outside the United States may incur currency conversion fees from their card issuer; these fees are not controlled by GenBodha.

7.2 Payment processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. GenBodha does not store your full payment card details. Stripe's use of your payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

7.3 Refund policy (7-day money-back guarantee)

You may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase, for any reason. To request a refund, email support@genbodha.ai with your Stripe receipt ID. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.

  • Monthly plans: After 7 days, you may cancel anytime; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period with no further charges. No refund is issued for the current period.
  • 3-month and 6-month plans: After 7 days, these one-time purchases are non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.

7.4 Automatic renewals

Monthly plans renew automatically on the same day each month until cancelled. 3-month and 6-month plans do not auto-renew. You may cancel a monthly plan at any time via the billing portal at /account/billing.

7.5 Failed payments

If a recurring charge fails, Stripe will retry the charge over the following week per its standard schedule. If all retries fail, your access may be suspended until payment is updated.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Course content is for educational purposes and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GenBodha shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to course content and lab environments will cease.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Consumer Protection Rights

12.1 Users in the United States

Residents of the State of California have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and related state laws. Please see our Privacy Policy for details on how to exercise these rights. Residents of other U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable state law.

12.2 Users in India

Users accessing the Platform from India have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. You may raise grievances through the Grievance Officer contact listed in our Privacy Policy. Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you have under Indian consumer protection law that cannot be waived by contract.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, United States.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you are a consumer residing in India, nothing in this section shall limit your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your domicile, or your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in your jurisdiction.
